Easily make your own hemp tinctures at home that are just as amazing and potent as the ones bought from your favorite retailers!

I may make a small commission from any Amazon links found on this post.

In the process of creating our own hemp brand, my husband and I thoroughly researched the best ways to formulate our own CBD and Delta-8 THC tinctures, and I learned two major things. One, tinctures are super easy to make with the right tools and knowledge. Two, it is more cost efficient to make it yourself! Let me stress that again... it is WAY more cost efficient than buying tinctures from local retailers.

"It is more cost efficient to make it yourself!"

1. To get started, first you must determine what kind of tincture you want to make.

For a CBD tincture, I recommend using the purest CBD isolate you can find. For my most

recent batch of CBD tincture, I sourced my isolate from 10dollarcartridge.com. This company

offers a 96% pure CBD isolate with relevant lab results in 1 gram jars for $10.00 or 100 gram

jars for $80.00.

For a THC (Delta-8 or other cannabinoid) tincture, I recommend using the purest distillate

(sometimes called 'concentrate' when sold in smaller quantities) that you can find. Some

brands with reputable COAs (lab results) that I have tried and recommend are

2. Next, research what carrier oil you desire your tincture to be made of. The most commonly

used oils are MCT, coconut and olive oil. I highly recommend MCT oil as it lacks flavor, color and

odor and has a lightweight, not oily texture making it the perfect carrier oil for your isolate or

distillate.

3. Finally, gather your equipment. You will need a heating source, a heat resistant mixing cup or

beaker, a stirring rod/spoon, a funnel and a bottle to store your finished tincture. Several of these

tools can be substituted for things you already have in your kitchen; however, if you are like me, I

prefer having designated tools that I only use for making tincture. If you are looking to start fresh,

below I have attached links to some affordable options on Amazon!

***NOTE:

Skip all of the equipment listed above for this amazing LEVO machine that does all the work

for you! I bought this machine for my husband for Christmas 2020, and he loves it! It makes

creating our own tinctures SO much easier because all we have to do is load our isolate (or

distillate) and MCT oil, set the proper settings and timer, and it does the heating and mixing for

us! I do realize the price is extravagant (especially considering this is a DIY post geared towards

saving money); however, this product is so amazing I thought it was worth mentioning! Please do

not feel like you need this machine to make quality tinctures.
